When you use RankIt, we collect the following information:

• Email address (used for authentication)
• Ranking data you create (entries, drafts, published rankings)
• Images you upload for entries
• Basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage — no personally identifiable information)
• Device type and browser information for error tracking

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide and maintain the RankIt service
• Authenticate your account and secure your data
• Display your published rankings on public share pages
• Improve the app experience through aggregated, anonymous analytics
• Diagnose and fix errors or performance issues

Third-Party Services

RankIt relies on the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Vercel — application hosting and deployment
• Error tracking service — captures application errors to help us fix bugs (no PII transmitted)
• Analytics provider — collects anonymous usage metrics (no PII transmitted)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Retention

Your account data and rankings are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days. Published rankings that have been shared via public links may be cached by search engines or third parties beyond our control.

Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregate form and cannot be linked back to individual users.

Your Rights

As a RankIt user, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your ranking data
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing
